The Background and Challenge
Grider Hill Marina Resort, KY, and Wisdom Dock Marina Resort, KY, were listed by Simply Marinas as a part of a SE Portfolio Marina Offering. Grider Hill, one of the largest marina resorts in KY, was a confidential offering and was not put on the market. Early in 2020, Simply Marinas announced the sale of Hales Bar Marina, TN as a part of this Portfolio. The challenge was that Grider Hill Marina Resort was a confidential offering. We reached out to individual clients in our network, one-on-one. Prospective buyers had to sign an NDA and show qualifications before the name of the asset was provided to them.
The Results
The two KY marinas closed in March, 2020 and were sold to Safe Harbor Marinas. Simply Marinas represented both parties. The two marina resorts are in close proximity to one of Safe Harbor’s largest marina assets, Jamestown Marina, KY.
